What you will see

The park is not only reef. The mangrove channel is a nursery for juvenile fish and birds, the salt lake is a recorded natural feature, and the earth fissures along the coast show the fault line the park sits on. There are coastal viewpoints where you can see across the Gulf of Aqaba to Saudi Arabia on a clear day. It is a very different day from the boat trips, and the photography is better for it.

Families with mixed ages, anyone who would rather not be on the water, and photographers. It also works well for guests with limited mobility, since the walking is short and mostly optional – the guide can keep to the viewpoints if that suits the group better.
