Overview

The diving-led trip to Ras Mohamed. Depending on the option you pick you get one or two guided dives, snorkelling stops, a sailing cruise out to White Island, and for certified divers the possibility of a night dive. Internationally certified instructors and dive guides lead the day.

Why Ras Mohamed for diving

The park sits at the tip of the Sinai Peninsula where the Gulf of Aqaba meets the Gulf of Suez. That geography gives you steep walls, strong coral growth and a lot of passing marine life, with visibility that regularly exceeds thirty metres. The instructors pick sites based on the day’s conditions and the experience level of the group on board.

How the day runs

Hotel pickup and air-conditioned transport, then out by boat. Weight belts and 12-litre tanks are provided, and your dive guide takes you through each site. Between dives there is a buffet lunch on board – mineral water, cola, tea and coffee throughout. The sailing cruise to White Island is part of the day either way, and snorkellers can join the same trip.

Choose your level

Options run from a single day of diving to three days, and from a full day of snorkelling to a night dive for certified divers. If you have never dived, the introductory scuba trip is the right starting point – training is included there. This page is for people who either hold a certification or are choosing between multiple dive days.

Know before you go

• Send a copy of your passport at least one day before the trip.
• Provide your hotel room number for pickup arrangements.
• Bring swimwear, a towel, and your dive log and certification if you have them.
• Not permitted on board: pets, large luggage, drones, alcohol in the vehicle.
• Lunch is not served on the night dive option.
